We at the Ray Township Public Library and Suburban Library Cooperative are very excited to announce that you, our library patrons, now have access to Newsbank’s America’s News!

What is Newsbank?
It is a database that allows full-text searching and retrieval of articles from over 3,000 U.S. newspapers, magazines, and broadcast transcripts, as well as selected web-only news sources.  America’s News contains 100 newspaper titles from Michigan, including The Detroit News. Essentially, it’s a digitized version of newspapers to accompany our eBooks and eMagazines.

How can I use Newsbank?
The great news is that you may print, save, or e-mail your search results. You can even set-up custom e-mail alerts to notify you when new material appears in your saved searches.  Some great uses for America’s News includes keeping up with current events, completing school assignments, compiling research reports, or researching family history.

How do I access Newsbank?
You can come to the Library where you will not be required to sign-in, or you can sit in the comfort of your own home and sign-in with your library card number. Just click the link at the top of the page (located near all of our other great digital resources) or click here to get started!
